The Adirondacks
-
This week seems like the one to head out and go hiking through the five ponds
It has been created for those who want to:
Share their adventure stories
Find information about great things to do while visiting
Talk about current events and protection policies
And ask questions
The Adirondacks aren't just something that you learn about in history books or during environmental classes. It's vastness and beauty cant be put into words or talked about so easily without actually experiencing its magnitude.
The Adirondacks has served as a beautiful home to not only humans, but also millions of unique plants and animals. Being the largest protected area in the US (nearly 6 million acres), with hundreds of lakes and thousands of miles of rivers, streams, and trails, this park is one that doesnt's go unnoticed and shouldn't go untold. And that is why I have created this group, so we can discuss, share, and recommend those whole truly love the outdoors to venture into the Adirondacks.
